March 2019 brought a "super bloom" of California poppies and other wildflowers to Walker Canyon, near Lake Elsinore.
We arrived at 7:30 AM and found many visitors already on the trail!The poppies are just starting to open as the sun rises and reaches the canyon slopes.The combination of orange poppies and purple wildflowers is particularly striking!Some slopes feature a mass bloom of poppies!Mona with the California poppies at Walker Canyon.Mona with the California poppies at Walker Canyon.Hummingbird at Walker CanyonWalker Canyon VistaButterflies were everywhere among the wildflowers!Walker Canyon Vista
