Embarkation for our cruise to South Georgia Island started from Stanley on East Falkland Island. There is exactly one flight every Saturday morning from Santiago, Chile, to Mount Pleasant, the airport for Stanley. The flight we booked for October 14 departed Santiago at 4:30 AM. This gave us sunrise views of southern Chile on the journey south.
