Tour du Mont Blanc
Tour du Mont Blanc (TMB) is a popular hiking circuit via the valleys and mountain passes that surround the Mont Blanc massif. Mont Blanc is the highest mountain in the Alps, and in Western Europe, at 15,774' above sea level. The Mont Blanc massif straddles parts of France, Italy, and Switzerland, and the Tour du Mont Blanc includes trails in these three countries. One variation of the full hiking circuit, just over 100 miles, is seen on this map in blue. The routes that we hiked during our trip are superimposed in red. At about half of the full circuit, they provided scenic highlights and hiking workouts!
