I started planning for the 2024 solar eclipse after the "All-American Eclipse" in August, 2017. Russellville, Arkansas, seemed like a perfect viewing location, very close to the eclipse centerline with totality predicted to last 4 minutes 11.5 seconds. This was also a great location to combine with our first visit to Hot Springs National Park, just a few hours drive south of Russellville.
