The Explora company specializes in lodges and travesias (tours/explorations) in South America. We think their lodge in Torres del Paine National Park, Chile, is unequaled. This was our first stay at Explora Atacama Desert, Chile, and we booked their travesia that continued into the altiplano region of southwestern Bolivia. We were joined by Renata and John Harbison when we were just back to Chile from our South Georgia Island photography tour cruise.
